After graduating from Union College in 2008, Caroline began her nonprofit career as a disability advocate with the New York Association on Independent Living in Albany, NY. In 2009, Caroline’s love for Boston drew her eastward and she joined the North American Thrombosis Forum.
Caroline served as Event Coordinator from 2009 to early 2011, during which time she organized NATF’s annual educational programs, including the Spring Thrombosis Prevention Forum and Fall Thrombosis Summit. She was actively involved with NATF’s Celebration of Gratitude fundraising events in 2009 and 2010.
In 2011, Caroline became Associate Director of Educational Programming and Development. In this role, Caroline more actively engaged NATF corporate sponsors and developed an NATF Prospectus to provide information on the organization to potential funders.
Caroline was recently promoted to Director of NATF. Over the next several months, in addition to continuing her work planning educational programs, Caroline will launch a new and improved database and establish a comprehensive development plan and Annual Fund.
The highlight of Caroline’s efforts over the past two years with NATF has been engaging a diverse group of individuals who are dedicated to a common goal to minimize and prevent the occurrence of thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases. Caroline looks forward to ongoing collaboration with the Board of Directors to enhance NATF’s existing educational programs, to develop new initiatives, and to strengthen relationships between NATF and its committees, members, and partners.
