DVT Free Flight Award
The North American Thrombosis Forum would like to recognize Cathay Pacific Airlines for raising public awareness of the risk factors, symptoms and prevention of blood clots in 2010.
The DVT Free Flight Award provides recognition to airlines that have made significant commitment to raising awareness and reducing the risk of developing DVT/PE while traveling. The award recognizes airlines who provide the most creative and accurate information on the subject of DVT/PE in the form of informational cards placed in the seat pocket, an article on DVT/PE in the flight magazine, a risk assessment sheet or any other form of communication. The airlines will also be judged on accuracy of information, DVT information, suggestions to reduce risk of a DVT/PE, mindfulness of multicultural and disabled passengers, along with innovation and style.
