Please join the North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) at this important meeting to discuss the current United States Senatorial and Congressional Bills on biosimilars and follow-on biologics (FOBs) as they relate to patient safety. REGISTER NOW

Join NATF for an educational dinner featuring international leaders in the fields of cardiovascular medicine and hematology. This even will be CME/CE accredited (2 hours) for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. REGISTER NOW

The Fellowship is designed with the goal of exploring the cross –disciplinary diagnosis, treatment, education, and research related to thrombosis.

The NATF Traveling Fellowship Program is an annual scientific exchange opportunity for physicians, scientists, pharmacists (PharmD, RPh), nurses (NP,RN), or physician’s assistants. NATF will provide an award equivalent to $7,500 for lodging and travel for one or more Fellows selected to visit a North American medical, research, or education center of his or her choice for up to 10-30 days. Candidates must be residents of North America.

Visit NATF's new eForum online discussion threads.  The forums are designed to serve as a venue for discussion among patients, advocates, and clinicians.  The goal of the forums is to increase dialogue on and awareness of thrombosis-related diseases.

On April 4, 2009, NATF held its annual Proactive Thrombosis Prevention Forum, a comprehensive 1-day multidisciplinary symposium that emphasized the major issues concerning myocardial infarction, stroke, and venous thromboembolism. State-of-the-art presentations incorporated perspectives from clinical research, prevention efforts, education initiatives, and advocacy.

NATF’s vision is to improve patient care, outcomes, and public health by utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to advance thrombosis research and education. NATF’s legacy will be the improvement of patient care, outcomes, and public health by supporting thrombosis-related programs, such as novel research projects, innovative educational programs, public policy initiatives, regulatory issues, and advocacy. NATF also seeks to broaden training opportunities for physicians, scientists, and other health professionals. The goal of the North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) is to focus on unmet needs and issues related to thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and stroke. NATF’s five areas of major focus are:
  1. Basic translational research
  2. Clinical research, especially diagnosis and therapy
  3. Prevention and education
  4. Public policy
  5. Advocacy
